Kyalami Corner brings heritage happiness to the community this September

Kyalami Corner hosts Heritage Day events and visitors can win excellent prizes

Kyalami, Gauteng – Kyalami Corner is once again ready to celebrate Heritage Day with art, music and the chance to win in our competition. Art works created by learners from Kyalami Schools will be on display from 28th to 30th September at Kyalami Corner.

This year’s theme for the artwork is “Reach for the stars” with many learners doing just that with their art. The exhibition opens on the evening of the 28th outside the Checkers entrance, opposite Salsa Restaurant. Marimba bands comprised of learners from Beaulieu College, Beaulieu Preparatory School and Kyalami Preparatory School will perform at 5pm with art Eisteddfod certificates being handed out to learners at 6pm.

The young musicians will once again be showcasing their music on 30 September from 10am to 12pm as the marimba bands share the spotlight with Beaulieu Preparatory School’s string ensemble. Kyalami Corner is also holding a Heritage market on 30 September, with stalls selling clothes, food and gifts.

There will also be a virtual reality art auction and the proceeds from the sale of these two NFTs will go to charity.

You can also get creative and enter Kyalami Corner’s social media competition. All you need to do is take a picture of your happiness, at the center’s selfie wall, in line with this year’s heritage celebrations. Find our happiness post on Facebook and share your picture in the comments. The first 100 entrants will win prizes, so be sure to enter between 24 and 30 September to stand a chance of winning. Winners must collect their prizes before 10 October.

Kyalami Corner also stands firmly behind the Springboks. The Baron and Salsa Restaurant at Kyalami Corne will be showing Springbok rugby matches at their venues during the world cup.

There is always something entertaining going on at Kyalami Corner. Don’t miss out on perusing fine art, enjoying music, fabulous competitions and, of course, the Rugby World Cup.
