A spirit of the Cape, made for the world: Cape Town Gin & Spirits Company joins iKAPA2theWORLD

Cape Town Gin & Spirits Company is doing its part in boosting local talent by partnering with one of the hottest events of the festive season, iKAPA2theWORLD.

The Western Cape is brimming with raw talent, but, without access to the right tools and people, this potential could remain untapped. The incubator festival iKAPA2theWORLD looks to bridge this gap, breeding the next generation of hip hop legends. As a spirit of the Cape, made for the world, Cape Town Gin & Spirits Company is thrilled to announce that it will come on board as a sponsor and brand partner for the festival in a bid to support local up-and-coming talent while also providing ice-cold G&Ts for festival goers.

A gin that speaks to all that it is to be a Capetonian, Cape Town Gin & Spirits Company takes pride in embodying the spirit of the Mother City and its people. Its gin range reflects the bio-diversity and unique essence of the region and, as a brand, it looks to lend its name to authentically Cape Town events that reflect its own creativity and freedom – which is why it is excited to collaborate with iKAPA2theWORLD.

The iKAPA2theWORLD is set to be one of Cape Town’s finest hip hop events, satisfying even the most die-hard hip-hop heads. Recognising artists and creatives from under-represented communities, the festival aims to promote artist mobility by providing them with access to support, digital resources, and education designed to help them thrive in the world, equipping them with the necessary business skill and mindset to grow their brand and scale their careers.

“The ideology behind iKapa2theWorld states that we as Cape Town artists and creators have the ability to take ourselves and our work to the world stage. However, to get there, we need access support and resources. The iKAPA2theWORLD event itself serves as a platform to cater to those needs, and to ensure that our artists have the necessary capacity to get to the world stage” says Masedi Mathe, CEO and Director of A.R.T.S Entertainment.

Hosted by “The Princess of Presenting” Lwandile Zulu and acclaimed DJ and VJ George The Groove, iKAPA2theWORLD will take over The Woodstock Hub under the banner of “Educate. Elevate. Inspire.”

Educate: the festival will feature entrepreneurship workshops that will lay down the foundations of artist and entrepreneurial development.

Elevate: offering musical performances and DJ sets from upcoming artists from Cape Town as well as stall activations from various upcoming youth-centered businesses in the city to nurture and elevate these local talents.

Inspire: But the real aim of iKAPA2theWORLD is to bring together creative and innovative minds of the youth from all walks of life and to inspire them.

For a chance to witness legends in the making, head to The Woodstock Hub on 17 December.
