Solareff partners with the 2022 Sasol Solar Challenge

The Sasol Solar Challenge (SSC) is pleased to announce that Solareff, specialists in renewable energy solutions, has joined the 2022 event as a sponsor.

Solareff will ensure that the event mobile office is solar powered and has all the required equipment, allowing the event organisers, media and officials to perform their daily tasks successfully throughout the eight-day long challenge. To do this, Solareff has revamped and upgraded the solar system of the event mobile office (Caravan). The upgrades include solar panels, upgrading of the inverter, and battery installations.

“Solareff is a highly experienced company in solar technology and this partnership will enable us to demonstrate the power of the sun with our mobile office and why renewable energy is important,” said Robert Walker, Owner and Director of the Sasol Solar Challenge. “We are delighted to partner with Solareff and look forward to working with the highly experienced team of engineers.”

Solareff has been delivering optimised renewable energy solutions since 2010. The company has successfully completed more than 400 installations of Photovoltaic solutions and have more than 140MWp of commissioned and current projects across Southern Africa. Through the installation of engineered Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage Solutions (BESS), Solareff is effectively enabling their customers to mitigate the impact of rising electricity costs while reducing their carbon emissions.

“At Solareff we are driven by our passion to fight against climate change and empower people through clean reliable energy,” said Jaco Botha, CEO for Solareff. “We are excited to have the opportunity to once again be involved in the Sasol Solar Challenge as this event is truly a showcase of the possibilities that solar power can create through the exceptional innovation and engineering skills of the teams competing.”
