Mantis Signs a Luxury Safari Lodge in the Kalahari

Port Elizabeth, 27 July, 2020

Mantis welcomes Feline Fields by Mantis to its collection of luxury hotel, eco-lodges, waterways, and impact experiences. Feline Fields is an intimate bush camp and luxury lodge. Located in the starkly beautiful, semi-desert Kalahari of Botswana, Feline Fields is west of the Okavango, Botswana. It is 200km from Maun International Airport by road, and 50 minutes by helicopter.

Feline Fields’ African safari experience includes a luxurious lodge with three pool suites, three Bush Suites, and a Two-bedroom Family Villa. All the rooms are made of wood and canvas. The dining experience at Feline Fields by Mantis is sophisticated and French-inspired.

Guests can enjoy the most exceptional quality of food made from sustainably sourced ingredients. Bush breakfasts and boma dinners allow guests to dine under the African skies, and guests can always enjoy private dining in their suite.

Experiences around the lodge and further afield include game drives, and bush walks guided by Kalahari San and a visit to their village. Guest can also explore the desert with an experienced guide searching for the Kalahari wildlife and visiting the hyena dens. Mantis luxury hotels, eco-lodges and waterways are travel experiences located all over the world. Sustainable travellers have been enjoying eco-tourism, safaris and adventure travel with Mantis since 2000. Rooted in conservation, Mantis pursues sustainable business practices and develops tourism products that are respectful of the environment and communities in which they operate.

Whether small and intimate or vast and complex, on a sweeping African plain, bustling city, private tropical island or frozen snowscape, each is an exceptional place for guests to find themselves. While uniquely different in the experiences they offer, all are linked through a collective obsession to be extraordinary, to be rare in a world that mass-produces sameness. Mantis consistently curates, collects and discovers destinations and experiences that stir the soul, defy expectation and live in the heart forever. We will do anything in our power to advance the cause of sustainability and to promote further appreciation of the land, its creatures and our communities.

We believe that rarities must be protected and our foundation and Mantis does this through Mantis Impact Experiences and its foundation, Community Conservation Fund Africa (CCFA). CCFA is a registered NPO that was created by Mantis and Accor in response to the urgent need for the tourism industry to play a more significant role in conservation and community upliftment. The Accor has a 50% stake in Mantis, a strategic partnership which reinforced the Group as a leader in curated one-of-a-kind experiences and resonated with the Accor’s conservation platform; Planet21.
