Colours of a Kind Non Profit Company aims to uplift and empower women from disadvantaged communities in South Africa. From 2019 to 2021, Learn Make Sew, our first initiative, provided free training in basic sewing skills as well as personal development, to equip women with the skills they need to enter the workforce. The programme ran five times over the course of three years and benefited close to 100 women from some of Cape Town’s toughest communities. In 2022, our Colours of a Kind Accelerator, a year-long SETA accredited programme, kicked off. We are thrilled that the prestigious Fashion Institute of Garment Technology (FIGT) by the Cape Town College of Fashion Design (CTCFD) is facilitating this programme. We believe in empowerment and inclusion through employment, financial independence and successful entrepreneurship.
