The Johannesburg-based Reddford House school - Reddford House Northcliff - which is part of theInspired Education Group, proudly congratulates their Class of 2022 for their excellent results in the demanding International Examinations Board (IEB) national senior certificate exams. Reddford House Northcliff received a special commendation by the IEB for Taylin Moore, who achieved within the top 5% across all IEB schools nationally in six or more subjects and a rating level of 7 (80% or more)  in Life Orientation.

Of particular note are nine students who achieved A and B aggregates, with Taylin Moore achieving seven distinctions and Tiisetso Mashishi achieving four distinctions. Overall, the 2022 matric cohort achieved 45 distinctions, an average of 1.41 distinctions per student.

Taylin had this to say about her matric experience: “Matric has been such an incredible year that has undoubtedly changed me as a person. It has been one of the most rewarding battles I’ve had to face, and it was such an exhilarating experience not knowing what the future holds yet fighting for it with everything I had and having unshakable faith through all its ups and downs. It gave me an endless number of opportunities to realise the strength I have in my humanity, in leaning on friends, family and teachers, and embracing the chaos of having to balance the responsibility of being head girl as well as academic pressures and expectations.

“I have applied to study medicine at Wits. From a young age I’ve been taught the value of life and how it is the most priceless gift we receive. That ignited my desire to protect and care for it. My plans are to eventually become a paediatrician because children are so full of life, hope and love and they shine a light into our world that is desperately needed and heartbreakingly endangered. Being able to treat and care for children would be the greatest honour of all.”

Leandri Fick, Head of Reddford House Northcliff shared her excitement, “The class of 2022 never left a stone unturned, as this vibrant group of students always aimed to give only their best. The results speak for themselves, and I am bursting with pride as I have no doubt that you are ready to take on whatever the future may hold.”

Dr Ronel Burger, Managing Director of Reddford House, commended the Class of 2022 for overcoming the negative influence that Covid had on their group specifically. She recognised the students, not only for their academic results but for the enthusiastic, dynamic yet humble young people that they have become. “I know that they are ready to face any challenges that life may bring.”
