Johannesburg-based company Unorthodox Group secures a vital sponsorship deal between the Netball World Cup 2023 and Woodlands Dairy. Woodlands Dairy is one of the largest dairy manufacturers in South Africa, and they will be sponsoring the tournament.

As per the sponsorship deal, Woodlands will be sponsoring the players with their First Choice High-Protein Recovery Drink. The Netball World Cup kicks off on July 28 and ends on August 6, 2023, in host city Cape Town. The historic deal will be the first of its kind, as this is the first women’s World Cup to be hosted in Africa. 2023 has been dubbed the "Year of Women in Sports," and Unorthodox Group has worked hard to ensure that the two brands equally share this rare opportunity and take advantage of the upsurge in interest surrounding women’s sports. This opportunity shows how sponsorship of sports can break borders and allow brands to provide financial assistance to the female sporting community, which is usually the minority when it comes to receiving funds.

Woodlands Dairy’s First Choice High Performance Recovery drink was made for such moments. It’s an energizing drink when you need it the most which makes perfect sense as to why it is one of the sponsors of the Netball World Cup. At Unorthodox Group, when working with our clients we always seek to find relevance between partnerships which make it authentic." explained Sibabalwe Sesmani when she spoke about why Woodlands Dairy chose to be one of the sponsors of the Netball World Cup.

Through this sponsorship, Woodland Dairy will connect with an enormous and highly engaged audience, both local and international. This will be a significant opportunity for the brand to engage with a growing audience of dedicated Netball fans. The brand will use its High-Protein Recovery Drink to demonstrate relevance and build brand power while promoting this new product.

Woodlands Dairy products include custard, cheese, butter, powder milk, and fresh and full-cream milk. Their products are available in different stores around South Africa. The brand gets to benefit from and participate in creating gender equality and still get the same return as they sponsor women's sports and support future generations of female athletes.
