On 16 February, Hotel Izulu, situated in Ballito on the beautiful North Coast of KZN, will be joined by Simonsig Estate for the Hotels renowned monthly wine market. From 12:00 onwards at a cost of R195.00, guests can enjoy a day filled with exquisite food and wine pairings while being entertained by the live band ‘Afritude'.
Prepared by the Executive Chef, guests can indulge in dishes such as chicken and duck liver pate with aged balsamic and apple chutney paired with Kaapse Vonkel Brut, marinated fish, onion and sweet corn fritters accompanied by a coriander and cucumber yogurt dip paired with Simonsig Chenin Blanc and Japanese teriyaki chicken served with stir fried noodles with Asian vegetables and roasted cashew nuts paired with Kaapse Vonkel Brut Rose.
Other options include Thai green chicken curry served with lemon grass and coconut, fragrant Jasmine rice paired with Simonsig Sauvignon Blanc and roasted beef and barley salad, savoury root vegetables and sherry vinaigrette paired with Simonsig Cabernet Sauvignon.
For kids, a selection of burgers, hot dogs, ice cream cones will be on sale.
Visit Hotel Izulu’s Deli where guests can enjoy a variety of soups, cheese boards, breads, biscuits and their famous fudge. At the wine shop, all of the wines will be available for purchase at a special reduced price by the bottle as well as wine chillers for R79.00 each.
