The 5-star Hotel Izulu in Ballito invites guests to indulge in a day of food and wine pairing with Excelsior wines and dishes prepared by the hotel’s culinary team on 24 November from 12h00 at R175.00 per adult while being entertained by the band ‘Afritude’. All of the wines are available for purchase at a special reduced price by the bottle and wine chillers are also available at R79.00 each.
Options include prawn, calamari and mussel stir-fry, served with pan-fried noodles paired with Excelsior Sauvignon Blanc, crispy homemade fish pie infused with dill, topped with a golden puff pastry disk and paired with Excelsior Chardonnay and a wild mushroom risotto, topped with tender chicken breast and finished with a mushroom and parsley creamy reduction and paired with The Excelsior Viognier.
Furthermore guests can enjoy flame grilled pork chops, served with garlic and rosemary potato wedges, paired with Excelsior Merlot and lamb bredie, served in a Yorkshire pudding with fresh coriander, paired with Excelsior Cabernet Sauvignon.
For the kids, a selection of burgers, hot dogs and ice cream cones will also be available.
Also on offer will be Hotel Izulu’s Deli which offers soup, cheese boards, breads, biscuits and its famous fudge.
