The technology behind Identiscan  

Identiscan is a handheld mobile terminal which, as previously stated, scans barcodes on ID documents, driver’s licences and motor vehicle licences. Specific data can be requested to be collected by the guard on duty with the data needed being ticked off from the data collection matrix. Once data is collected it is sent to the offsite secure server via WIFI or GSM.   The scanner makes use of the Ciperlab Laser and once the data is read it stored offsite in a way that is POPI Compliant.
