Cape Town, South Africa, January 12, 2023 - IBC SOLAR, a leading full-service provider of SOLAR energy solutions, held their Year-End Functions, in JHB and CPT,in December. As in previous years, IBC awarded the 2023 Premium Partners along with trophies including ‘Installer of the Year’ and ‘Project of the Year’, among others.

To the end of 2022, IBC SOLAR South Africa continued the tradition with year-end functions in both Johannesburg and Cape Town, during December 2022. At these events, the top and most loyal clients of the company were awarded as Premium Partners of IBC SOLAR by Daniel Haitzler, Managing Director.

Each of these partners received a certificate to thank them for their long-lasting support and great work. As Daniel explained, “a IBC Premium Partner is not only a company making the biggest turnover with us, which is also important, but the customers who typically follow the IBC SOLAR system approach. Customers who tend to buy a whole system from the company, using the full scope of materials offered.”

In addition to the Premium Partner Certificates IBC SOLAR also identified and  celebrated the top projects and installers for the past year. Starting with the top installer of the year for the Cape Town area, Windstrom S.A. (Pty) Ltd achieved the award for being a longstanding premium partner and being our biggest client in 2022. The scope of projects he install ranges from commercial to residential, 100 - 200 kWp systems, and the company operates in a unique environment. Within the Johannesburg region Gronn (Pty) Ltd was identified as installer of the year for  procuring and installing heir high quality residential portfolio. Their installations typically consist of Victron, Fronius and Solar MD units. Furthermore, the international installer of the year for 2022 was awarded to Ezzy Electricals from Tanzania. Together, IBC SOLAR and Ezzy realized an SMA Multicluster system with 200kWp of solar and 500kWh storage capacity as well as numerous residential solar and backup systems.

Furthermore, the residential and commercial installers of the year were identified. With a Fronius and Victron combination, Symo 12, 3 Multiplus 10 and 8 Solar MD 14.3 batteries, which result in usable power of almost 115 kWh in Cape Town, e-LEK Energy (Pty) Ltd received the award for the residential project of the year. The commercial project of the year was received by Bespoke Energy (Pty) Ltd for a 630 kWp project in Isando.

Claasclan cc was awarded the service partner of 2022 for not only providing the most services on behalf of IBC SOLAR in 2022, but also providing services for over 4 years. They specialize in the onsite support and troubleshooting of SMA, Victron, Fronius and Solar MD products.

In addition to these,  IBC’s top Solar MD and Victron installers, with some special award from each supplier were honored. The Solar MD installer of the year went to Rensol Africa (Pty) Ltd who was given a 14.3 wall mount battery. Greenability Installations (Pty) Ltd was identified as the Victron installer of the year and was awarded a MCS cruise for two by Victron. We would like to thank both Solar MD and Victron for their amazing display of gratitude.

The newcomer of the year award went to Taqa Energy (Pty) Ltd who onboarded the IBC SOLAR customer base a while ago but during the course of 2022 he has been extremely loyal to us. Their main focus is on the residential market offering customers high-end Victron based PV solutions with storage throughout Gauteng and the Limpopo area.

2022 has been an all-time high turnover year for IBC SOLAR South Africa. The company’s portfolio, with high quality products and systems that suit the market together, along with an outstanding base of customers bringing these solutions alive for a sustainable future, made this success possible.
