‘Retirees’ look for new income opportunities

Most people aged 65 cannot retire with financial freedom. That means continuing work or looking for new income opportunities, is often a necessity.

Beyond the age of 50 there seem to be many obstacles, the major ones being:

• perceptions of employers

• work seeker’s negative self perception

Silver Mettle aims to assist and support work seekers who want to remain productive after 50, 60, 70 and 80. It is an online service offering opportunities to advertise and get insight and inspiration.

For a limited time, there is an opportunity for candidates to advertise skills and experience free of charge.

Owner Lizanne Barnett is 68 and describes herself as a ‘serial career changer’ and entrepreneur. She walks the talk and realises that is not easy and often requires a mindset change and sometimes a helping hand. To this end she offers a unique and personal online job-hunting service.

There are many employers who recognise the value in investing in ‘silver wisdom and mettle’ and they too are catered for in their search for ‘old-fashioned’ work ethic and productivity.

For a limited time, there is an opportunity for enlightened employers offering positions to do so, free of charge.
