Nissan has launched its new NISMO sub-brand road car range with the unveiling of the Nissan Juke NISMO at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show.

Cape Town, March 2013: Group 1 Nissan ( http://www.group1-nissan.co.za ),The Nissan Motor Co. Ltd. launched its new NISMO sub-brand road car range with the unveiling of the Nissan Juke NISMO at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show (7th – 17th of March 2013). The new dramatic design of the Nissan Juke NISMO will set the tone for all future NISMO road car releases and highlights the NISMO sub-brands proud racing heritage.

Powered by a 200PS 1.6-litre direct injection turbocharged engine, the new Nissan Juke NISMO is now even more engaging, exhilarating and exciting. Available in 2WD or 4WD drivetrain options, the new Nissan Juke NISMO now ensures even better handling and agility on any road surface with the efficiency of the standard Juke DIG-T remaining unaffected.

The Future of NISMO Driving

The NISMO sub-brand already has a strong link to the digital world thanks to some of the top selling driving simulation games, but Nissan’s NISMO engineers have taken this to the next level through the Nissan Jukes NISMO’s digital integration platform.

A new app currently being developed by Nissan will allow the Nissan Juke NISMO driver the chance to bridge the gap between the highly advanced race technology seen in the Nissan GT-R and that of the affordable performance car owner.

When running this app, the driver's iPad will be linked to the car's on-board computer systems via Bluetooth. This will allow the driver to view multiple gauges showing engine temperatures, pressures, G-forces and even lap times. The app will also allow for the creation of a connected online community of NISMO drivers. Once connected to the internet, these drivers will be able to upload their car's stats to social media sites such as Facebook, allowing them to share vehicle information online.
