The 5-star Hotel Izulu in Ballito, in conjunction with Haute Cabrière, Franschhoek will host its monthly Wine Market on Sunday, 24 June 2012. Guests can enjoy a day of food and wine pairing from 12:00 onwards, at a cost of R150.00 per person, with entertainment by the band ‘Afritude’.
Some of the food and wine pairing options are – Prawns, basil and garlic skewers with a Brut Beurre Blanc paired with Pierre Jourdan Brut or teriyaki chicken satay coated in a light sesame seed batter paired with Pierre Jourdan Tranquille.
Further options include - Camembert tartlet with sun dried tomato and olive tapenade paired with Haute Cabrière unwooded Pinot Noir, lamb cutlet with minted tzatziki paired with Haute Cabrière Pinot Noir or pineapple and carrot cake with walnut and cream cheese paired with Pierre Jourdan Ratafia
Kid’s selection includes burgers, hot dogs and ice cream cones. Hotel Izulu’s Deli will also offer soup, cheese boards, breads, biscuits and Hotel Izulu’s infamous fudge.
All of the wines are available for purchase at a special reduced price by the bottle. Wine chillers are also available to purchase at R79 each.
