Sandton ready to welcome visitors safely
Submitted by: MyPressportal TeamWith South Africa moving to Alert Level 1, members of the public are starting to get out and about a lot more than they have perhaps been doing for many months. Always a drawcard because of all it has to offer, Sandton remains an attraction for the public to flock to.
The good news, says Sandton Tourism & Business Association, is that the Association's members are ready to welcome guests and patrons back safely. Francois van Heerden, Association Chairman, says, "Many of our members are already operating and are doing so with full compliance of the required Covid-related safety regulations. Whilst some hotels and conference venues are still closed in anticipation of the future influx of international travellers, many are already operating, and we encourage our members to ensure that they are adhering to the required government regulations."
Throughout the pandemic lockdown, the non-profit Sandton Tourism & Business Association has done all it can to ensure that members are kept up to date on restrictions and regulations as these have changed. The Association membership base includes hotels, guest houses, transport providers, tour operators and many more tourism and hospitality-related businesses.
