READPower – LightUp4Literacy Programme READPower is a partnership between Educubed Foundation NPC and Asani Energy to LIGHT the way to national LITERACY. As an integral component of modern society, access to electricity and lighting play a pivotal role in economic prosperity, with a fundamental contributor to economic growth being education.

25 February 2020, 30 solar solutions for 30 homes, sponsored by Jones Lang Lasalle and Tetris Design & Build, will be handed over and installed at Lion Park informal settlement. In addition, 170 stationery packs, sponsored by our community network of people, will be handed over to Grade 4 learners of Lion Park Primary School. The programme is run in partnership with them, as the school.

READPower Programme is an ideal opportunity for socio-economic development and we believe in making a meaningful impact which is demonstrated by the holistic approach used in our implementation model.

Local school participation: We partner with schools in the communities to: identify household to distribute the lighting solutions to; monitor and evaluate the impact of the READPower Programme; and track the progress of beneficiaries as they go through their schooling career.

Increase national literacy rate: In addition to providing lighting for children to do homework and read in the evening, thus promoting a reading culture.

Skills Development and Job Creation, Develop Future Leaders, Sustainable lighting solutions.
