Submitted by: Jacqui

Thief outside construction site was stopped in his tracks by Fidelity ADT.

Just after 12:50 on 10 March Fidelity ADT Reaction Officer Johannes Masipa caught a thief in the act. Reaction officer Masipa was patrolling on Wilton road in Bryanston when he noticed a suspect stealing tyres from the back of a bakkie parked outside a construction site.

“The suspect saw the officer driving towards him and then started trying to run away with the Tyres. Reacting quickly while calling for back-up Fidelity ADT Reaction Officer Masipa managed to apprehend the suspect,” says Josh Nel, Branch Manager for Fidelity ADT.

The suspect was handed over to Sargent Nala from Sandton SAPS

“I commend our Officers on doing a great job and acting swiftly, managing to apprehend the suspect. Active patrolling and visibility in our suburbs sends a strong message that crime will not be tolerated in our communities,” concludes Nel.
