FASSET (the labour department’s Seta for finance, accounting, management consulting, and other financial services) launched the ‘Making Best Practice Count’ awards in recognition of organisations that engage in Best Practice when it comes to skills development in South Africa. The award runs in tandem with the Department of Labour National Skills Development for Good Practice Awards 2009.

Jackie Tong, Director: Africa Sub-Area People Leader at Ernst & Young says, "We are immensely proud of our people, their commitment to our firm as well as their consistent execution of key learning and development processes which has lead to us maintaining our position. This award compliments our consistent Top 10 ranking in the Corporate Research Foundation (CRF) Best Companies to Work for in South Africa 2009 survey and is further confirmation of the focus that we place on ensuring that we maintain an inclusive environment that allows all our people the opportunity to develop their unique potential."
