It is without a shred of doubt that where the DA governs, there is rapid service delivery gain. On 31 July 2019, the Executive Mayor, Cllr Herman Mashaba and MMC of Group Corporate and Shared Services, Cllr Ntombi Khumalo, launched and handed over 115 specialised fleet vehicles to the front-line entities of the City of Johannesburg.
This addition took the total number of new vehicles added to the fleet to 346. The other 231 were handed over to the relevant departments prior to yesterday
Residents will now experience much-needed fast and efficient service delivery in response to the maintenance of the roads, power failures and faulty cables. In addition to this the introduction of new and sophisticated equipment will mean Johannesburg Water can attend to burst pipes and leaks quicker.
According to the MMC of Group Corporate and Shared Services, Cllr Ntombi Khumalo: “No administration is judged solely on its promises, but always on its ability to deliver on them.”
The DA Johannesburg Region welcomes this development as an important step towards propelling and speeding up the delivery of basic services to the residents of Johannesburg.
