Top Judges And Prizes Announced For Miss Junction 21 Contest

Spectacular prizes have been announced for the Miss Junction 21 contest, which features different age group categories from 3 years up to 20 plus. Each category will have a winner, first and second princess, as determined by the judges, who include: Tylor Kotzé, current Miss Johannesburg Chanel Engelbrecht, Lourdes Holder, Nkosinathi Qebedu and Bianca Birnie. 

Model Manifest is giving away a 30 minute complimentary training session at its Kempton Park premises for the winner, first and second princess, valid until 1 November 2021 for each category. 

Other prizes include: cash, set of nails, cosmetics, hair cuts and blow waves, meals, food vouchers and discounts, costume jewellery and evening tops, soft toys, bath salts and bubble bath, flowers and bouquets.

Judges: 

Engelbrecht, a business Manager at Bridgewater Group, has won the following titles: Miss Model search SA; Miss Edenvale; Miss Centurion; Miss Sexy Jeans; Miss Fiat; Miss East Rand Natural Beauty; Miss Dream Queen; Miss Model of the year; Miss International Model of the Year; Miss Ice Queen and Miss Teen Africa, among others.

Kotzé trained in all aspects of modelling in London and Italy. Ramp, fashion, photography, pageantry, personal grooming and self-confidence are but some of the modules covered. During this time, he took part in various modelling competitions, pageants and fashion shows, winning the Face of FTV. He has judged a number of modelling competitions and pageants both locally and internationally. He has won the Sir Africa title; Sir King Of The Universe title and Sir South Africa title.

Holder has almost 9 years of modelling experience. She has won various competitions such as model of the year, Mr en Mej Jansie, Mej Persoonlikheid and Top 1 Model. She was part of the HmH School of Modelling and Deportment.

Birnie is an African Queen Foundation ambassador and motivational speaker. Her titles include: Queen of Africa 2018, Mrs Glamour Africa 2017 and Mrs Glamour International second runner-up 2017. She is the owner of HmH School of Modelling and Deportment. 

Qebedu is the owner of Bornfree barbershop. This entrepreneur and Boksburg resident has been in the beauty industry for seven years, so he knows how to spot talent and has an eye for beauty. 

Entry details 

Parents are welcome to enter their children into this contest. Each contestant is allowed one costume in line with the theme of the event, which is formal evening wear.

Date: 5 June 2021, 12H00-16H30. 

Venue: Junction 21 Indoor Market, Pepper Square, Boksburg
