Relive the Era of Swing with The Crooner Tribute Show at Bay Harbour Market

HOUT BAY, WESTERN CAPE, SOUTH AFRICA, 3 April 2013: Dale McCann takes audiences on a trip back in time as he plays homage to the legends of the swing era, jazz band Cardigan Buzz get their groove on and saxophonist, vocalist and guitar player Marleen “Paddy” Visser is joined on stage by bass player Ernesto Vialva for a classical performance.

Step back in time on Friday, April 5 to a time when the guys were smooth and the gals were sassy, as crooning master Dale McCann pays homage to the greats of the swing era. Known for his unique vocal ability, Dale brings the charm and humility of a young crooner to every performance. He evokes the style of many famous crooners from the 1950s with his ‘Swinger Swagger’ and dashing persona, singing and dancing up a storm with some of the world’s most loved songs made famous by the likes of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jnr, Nat King Cole, Tony Bennet, Elvis Presley, Andy Williams, Bobby Darin and many others. Don’t miss this unique Friday night performance!

On Saturday April 6, jazz band Cardigan Buzz are back on the stage to entertain audiences with their interesting blend of jazz, swing, folk and blues. Cardigan Buzz has enjoyed commercial success and local radio play with their original track ‘Meaning of You’ and they are regulars on the Western Cape music circuit. With their brand of marketable music that appeals to audiences young and old, this lively band is sure to get you grooving.

Entertaining audiences on Sunday, April 7 is saxophonist, vocalist and guitar player Marleen “Paddy” Visser along with bass player Ernesto Vialva. Marleen is a professional musician who has performed at numerous private and corporate functions, solo or as part of a duo. She plays everything from light jazz and popular ballads to more up-tempo pop. She is also the tenor sax player in a Big Band. She will be joined on stage by Trinidadian bass player Ernesto Vialva. A well-known figure in the Cape Town jazz scene, Ernesto has played with a multitude of musos in and around SA.
