Aquasky- Media Snippet- 22 September 2021

Hosted at Blaauwklippen Vineyards and in association with Stellenbosch Wine Route, Wednesday, 15 September saw Wikus Human take the win as the 2021 Best South African Sommelier. Seven competitors went head-to-head with one another in a closed-door semi-final with an esteemed judging panel.

The judges were Madeleine Stenwerth: the Master of wine, famed Chef: Harold Bresselschmidt, the reigning best South African sommelier: Jo Wessels and SASA (South African Sommeliers Association) Chairman and ASI Diploma sommelier: Spencer Fondaumier.

The water of choice of the competition was Paarl based Aquasky. Selected for its environmental credentials, Aquasky cultivates its water from the atmosphere. It is then cooled and condensed and with a filtration and sterilization process utilising ultraviolet, Aquasky water has the perfect pH balance of 8.3 It is no surprise it is the sommelier water of choice! To find out more about Aquasky and the product range, please visit https://aquasky.co.za/.
