AXOR has long been passionate about working with designers to produce works of exceptional quality, with roots stretching as far back as the seventies when Klaus Grohe worked with Hartmut Esslinger, Georg Spreng, and Andreas Haugand raked in Hansgrohe’s first design award in 1974.

The birth of AXOR
Some 19 years later, in 1993, AXOR was launched, a platform for brilliant designers to meet innovative decision-makers. The AXOR Starck was the first collection to blow up, as Phillipe Starck’s “Salon d’Eau” became a revolutionary concept in design and function. Starck has now worked on AXOR concepts for more than 20 years, developing incredible collections like the AXOR Starck Organic and the AXOR Starck V.

Phoenix friends
Another of AXOR’s celebrated partners in design are the brilliant Phoenix Design, a studio who have accumulated more than 700 design awards. As partners of AXOR for more than two decades, Phoenix Design have pioneered much of the modern bathroom world with their creations. The AXOR Montreux is their benchmark beauty, but make no mistake, Phoenix have played a role in a lion’s share of AXOR designs. In 2015 alone the won 2 iF Gold Awards and 21 iF Design awards. They’re unstoppable.

More partners along the road
Of course, AXOR strives for innovation and searches for the future of the bathroom. To do so, they join forces with many different designers. Antonio Citterio, the architect and designer, has developed the AXOR Citterio, AXOR Citterio M, AXOR Citterio E and other universal products for the brand.
Barber & Osgerby, the famous duo, developed the immensely popular AXOR One, a collection centred on the user experience. Jean-Marie Massaud, well-known for using nature to inspire his concepts, brought the AXOR Massaud to life; a stylistic representation of a blade of grass delivering a dew drop into the users hand.
Front is a Swedish design studio that has developed a few different designs for the AXOR ShowerCollection, which embody the functionality of water and piping. Patricia Urquiola, a Spanish designer of notable flair, helped develop AXOR WaterDream, and then went on to create the AXOR Urquiola which brought fusion and style into the bathroom.
