60 years ago eight properties founded an association to make the exceptional French art de vivre shine. Today, Relais & Châteaux is a collection of more than 520 prestigious properties spread over 5 continents including almost 140 properties in France. The Association has by now become “The” international benchmark of excellence in the fields of charming hotels and culinary arts. 

Who could better celebrate our cuisines and our terroirs than the Chefs and Maitres de Maison? Who could be better ambassadors of good taste to interpret the theme of this year: “Love of gestures and savoir-faire”? The popular and generous Festival of Gastronomy addresses all audiences, and this year Relais & Châteaux would like to reach out to the younger guests through the following 3 events:

 At the marketplace with the Chef: An opportunity for young people of less than 20 years to discover the most beautiful marketplaces in France and to select from the most beautiful produce accompanied by Relais & Châteaux Chefs. For instance, in Roanne, with Michel Troisgros of Maison Troisgros or in Gordes, with Xavier Mathieu of Phébus & Spa.

In the kitchen with the Chef: The Relais & Châteaux Chefs will show young people of less than 20 years how a regional, simple and feasible recipe is created. Demonstration and tasting for connoisseurs! You can, for instance, follow the recipe for the lamb shank with a crust by Jean-André Charial at the Oustau de Baumanière in Baux de Provence.  

Menu for 60% of the price: Celebrate 60 years of Relais & Châteaux and pay only 60% for the menu! Let yourselves be seduced, for instance, by a “gourmet promenade” menu at Château de Locguénolé including a starter, a fish, a meat and a dessert for EUR 41 instead of EUR 61, prepared by Olivier Beurné.
