Hotel Izulu Welcomes Back Ken Forrester to Wine Market

The 5-star Hotel Izuluin Ballito will host its renowned monthly wine market on Sunday, 23 March, in conjunction with Ken Forrester from 12h00 with new food pairings created by the Executive Chef, at the cost of R195.00 per adult while being entertained by the band ‘Afritude’. For the Kid’s, a selection of burgers, hot dogs and ice cream cones.

The food and wine pairing option on the day are – ginger prawn and rocket salad with avocado, papaya and lemongrass dressing paired with Ken Forrester Sauvignon Blanc 2013, smoked aubergine pâté, truffle toast and Chenin pickled carrot paired with Ken Forrester Old Vine Reserve Chenin Blanc 2013 and char-grilled chicken and polenta skewers, nectarine chutney and parmesan paired with Ken Forrester Petit Sauvignon Blanc 2013.

Further options include orange-cured salmon gravlax, wasabi crumpet and pea mousse paired with Ken Forrester Petit Chenin 2013 and braised lamb in cabernet, phyllo pastry and summer vegetables paired with Ken Forrester Petit Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot blend 2012

Also on offer will be Hotel Izulu’s Deli which will include soup, cheese boards, breads, biscuits and our famous fudge. 

All of the wines are available for purchase at a special reduced price by the bottle.  Wine chillers are also available to purchase at R79 each.
