The 5-star Hotel Izulu in Ballito ends off the month of June with their renowned monthly wine market in conjunction with Diemersfontein Wine and Country Estate. On Sunday, June 30, from 12h00 guests can enjoy new food and wine pairings created by Executive Chef, Tyrone Sumner, at the cost of R175.00 per adult while being entertained by the band ‘Afritude’.
The food and wine pairing options on the day will include –seared swordfish with lemon and butter sauce, mixed leaves with white wine vinaigrette paired with Thokozani white wine andslow braised pork belly with star anise, ginger, garlic, chilli, balsamic and coriander, lemon rice paired with Diemersfontein summer lease.
Furthermore guests may indulge in roast chicken breast with bacon and sage, cannellini beans and salsa verde paired with Carpe Diem Viognier, chicken liver parfait, red onion marmalade, Melba toastpaired with Maidens Prayer Red and Moroccan beef tagine with chocolate and cinnamon, butternut squash puree paired with Diemersfontein Pinotage.
For the kid’s, a selection of burgers, hot dogs and ice cream cones will be available.
Also on offer will be Hotel Izulu’s Deli which will include soup, cheese boards, breads, biscuits and our famous fudge.
All of the wines are available for purchase at a special reduced price by the bottle. Wine chillers are also available to purchase at R79 each.
