Custom restored classic car is up for grabs in the latest promotion at the Palace of Dreams 

With Level 2 in full swing and a gradual return to normality, gaming and entertainment leader Emperors Palace is once again breaking the mould and offering a unique grand prize in their latest leaderboard chase promotion: A Touch of Classic. Known for their lavish and exotic promotions and giveaways , the Palace of Dreams has something really special in store for car lovers: a custom restored 1955 Ford F-100 pickup. 

‘Anyone who knows their cars will tell you this is a must-have for any collector. The F-100 is an American classic  and it’s been immaculately restored with a 5-litre Mustang engine and a host of modern conveniences. It drives like a dream and is the perfect ride to take out onto the road on a weekend drive,’ says Emperors Palace Complex Manager Clive Tavener. 

The Ford F-100 was restored and upgraded by Hot Rod Alley in Kempton Park and took just over a year to complete. Motorheads will salivate over the 5-litre engine which outputs 280 horsepower and over 400 Newton-meters of torque. The shiny black beast has been retrofitted with an: overdrive gearbox, Roller cam, Weiand high rise intake manifold, Edelbrock 650 carburetor, disc brakes and free flow exhaust system. The truck may be a classic, but it’s also been upgraded with all the creature comforts for the modern driver, including power key, electric windows, leather seats, rear camera and Bluetooth. 

For players wanting this automotive classic, the competition will be fierce. ‘Players are going to have to work for this one!’ chuckles Emperors Palace Promotions Manager Irvin Nkosi. ‘To match the prize, this is an old-school leaderboard chase where only the best will make it to the top. The more you play, the higher you can climb. Along the way we’ll also be giving away some cash and prizes, totaling over R1,1 Million from 2 September.’ 

Players are urged to play with their Peermont Winners Circle Card to be in the running at the Palace of Dreams, with the final draw for the Ford F-100 happening on Sunday, 13 December. ‘We’ve given away many cars over the years, but this is the one I’m most envious of. It’s a one of a kind… a real thing of beauty, and if I could I would be competing for it myself,’ concludes Tavener. A Touch of Classic starts on 2 September at Emperors Palace and is open to all Winners Circle Members.
