{pp}Keen watchers of season 3 of Idol’s will remember the sultry Veronique Lalouette or ‘V’ as she was known then and will be glad to know that she will be gracing the stage at Le Domaine’s Club de Vie on the 26th July 2008.

At the tender age of 14 Veronique joined her father, Denis Lalouette and his band ‘The Light Years Quartet’ when they performed at ‘District Six’ at the old Randburg Waterfront. In the same year she also performed the backing vocals on Robin Walsh’s ‘Wings of Fire’ album and had her first experience with session musicians and a live recording studio! Her matric year saw Veronique join a 3 piece band known as ‘Black Ice’ who performed at a far out watering hole called ‘Mrs.Sippi Blues’ in Gillooly’s Farm.

Since leaving school in 1999, Veronique has become a professional singer and has done a number of jingles and backing vocal session work, as well as corporate band work and shows. In 2005 she became a household name when she made it to the semi-finals in the 3rd season of Idols. She has since released her debut album, ‘As I Am’, on an independent label and has had number 1 singles: ‘Right Here With Me’ and a duet with Idols’ runner up Gift Gwe, ‘I Must Still Love You’.

Some of her past coups include sharing the spotlight with PJ Powers, Judith Siphuma, Louise Carver and Ed Jordan at the 2008 Carnival City Symphonic Pops and a special appearance at Marcos Hernandez’s solo backing vocalist during his album launch in 2007. Her voice has led her across the world and she has traveled to Taiwan, the Seychelles and West Africa.
