Sales Manager for Bosch Rexroth Kenya appointed

Melvis Wachira has been appointed Sales Manager, Bosch Rexroth Kenya, effective 1 September 2020.
Melvis, who holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechatronics, completed a 12-month training programme in Germany prior to her appointment. This included eight months of practical training at Bosch Rexroth’s various German offices and factories.
The training, Afrika Kommt!, is a German industry initiative for future leaders from Africa. The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH implements the programme on behalf of the private sector initiative. It is supported by the German Federal Office and the German embassies in Africa and is aimed at assisting young African managers have insight into German companies’ work processes and methods.
Upon completing the training programme in Germany, it was planned to give Melvis additional training in South Africa but, unfortunately, COVID-19 restrictions prevented that initiative.
“In addition to working for Bosch Rexroth in Kenya, I would like to help build a bridge between Germany and Africa,” Melvis said. “We wish Melvis every success in her new role,” said Bosch Rexroth Regional Director East Africa Mike Harrison.
