Makers of all ages are coming to Cape Town in August for MakerMania 2020

The MakerMania event is a two day public event and will take place on Saturday 29, and Sunday 30 August 2020, at the Cape Town Science Centre.

MakerMania brings together families and individuals to celebrate the Do-It-Yourself (DIY) mindset and showcase all kinds of fascinating and exciting projects, and quite possibly, future product prototypes. At MakerMania, you will find arts and crafts, science and engineering, food and music, fire and water brought together by the smart and creative Maker community.

MakerMania is actively creating a maker culture stimulating conversations between Makers and aspiring Makers. A show-and-tell format for people of all ages to bring out the child in us, a community-based learning event that inspires everyone to become a maker and connect to people and projects in their local community. About 6 000 to 8 000 visitors are expected over the three days including school groups.

Call for Makers

MakerMania announced that the “Call for Makers” are now open and are inviting makers of all ages to sign up. The MakerMania Cape Town Call for Makers will be open until 30 April 2020.
