New South African Based CrowdFunding Site Launched in August

Submitted by: Harry Heydon

On 7th September 2018 Johannesburg entrepreneur Harry S Heydon launched a new South African based Crowdfunding site at https://thecrowdsite.com

The main themes of the site center around economy of use and security of users funds, ease of use and accessibility for projects/people that have little or no online experience. These are categorized as:

  • Economy of use: The only 'Out of Pocket Cost' to users of thecrowdsite platform is an annual fee of R100. There are no other fundraising fees or percentages levied, thus it can be seen that the intention of the founder is to provide a public service rather than creating an administration cash generator.

  • Security of user funds: All funds raised are paid directly to platform users bank accounts / PayPal etc. Platform administration does not handle or process any funds at all. This provides real security to users in that hackers cannot access any central E Wallet and siphon members funds, nor is it possible to do any form of fraud against users funds.

  • Ease of use: thecrowdsite.com is extremely user-friendly. It is a reality that even project managers who have minimal online experience can get their Project Page etc fully set up and ready to Crowdfunfund in less than fifteen minutes. To make the 'path smoother' site admin provides a free Members Manual that has step by step instructions on set up and promotion of projects on social media and the internet.

  • Accessibility: With a platform policy of 'Any legal or Moral Project' being acceptable, thecrowdsite.com makes their platform accessible to virtually everything from new business funding through to NGO and Church funding, and even makes provision for the family that wants to educate their child or fund a wedding for example.

And there are also no time restrictions or forfeiture of funds if targets are not met etc. Many projects - such as feeding schemes and pre schools for example require on going funding and not just a specific goal amount. This platform makes provision for open ended membership / fundraising. There are a number of other features such as (Entirely Optional) access to other Funding streams. A free brochure containing details of all the numerous benefits can be ordered HERE

"After many years in the NGO field and numerous time consuming failed attempts to access grants I decided to try Crowd Funding. What a debacle! Some sites only specialize in certain fields and others impose time restrictions on how long you have to raise the funds. One site even keeps all the money if one does not achieve target. And for that they mostly deduct around 5% of your funds for the privilege. the crowdsite is a breath of fresh air. I get to keep every cent raised and they do not interfere with me at all. I have also done quite well with the CrowdShare project. Viva thecrowdsite!"

QUOTE FROM Feed The Poor project.

We believe that we have achieved and exceeded our stated goals of providing a public service with true 'frugal' economy of use, user friendliness and accessibility. And with the added bonus of a Global reach thecrowdsite.com opens up more potential Funding through International exposure.
