Converged Group Calls for Better Infrastructure Relationships

Submitted by: MyPressportal Team

Johannesburg, South Africa. Bryant Dennis, CEO of Converged Group reinforced their in-house concept of End to End (E2E) solutions for the South African market with regards to overall network connectivity.

“As smart as the technology is, one of the pitfalls of Fibre in South Africa and many parts of the world is that the companies physically handling the installation of the infrastructure are not responsible for how the connection behaves.

They are, in essence, building the road, but it is up to companies like Converged to provide the means of delivery on that road.”

To that end, Converged Group has put forward a five-point call to action for all users of Fibre as a network connection to require of any company that provides such.

Those requirements are as follows:

  • Enhanced Service Offerings
  • Cost Escalation Control
  • Synergy of Capabilities and Infrastructure
  • Exploitable Opportunities
  • Retained Control of the user environment

“Only when providers are required by their clients to continuously develop these,” says Dennis, “can the overall connectivity of the South African computing infrastructure be as robust as the demands of business on the world stage necessitate.”

This five point call to action extends into all areas of network connectivity – from the so-called Cloud to Telephony, and everything in-between, where Converged Group has been in continuous development of this End to End solution for several years, says Dennis.

The key for users is to choose any vendor wisely and to understand that the connection they, as users, have with the overall network is directly attributable to the provider. If the provider is unable or unwilling to work to resolve an issue, the user should take their business elsewhere.

“There is a clear relationship between the quality of connection a provider offers and the quality of the service they offer.  Just as importantly, any user should be able to use any provider and receive the access their business requires.”

Dennis first spoke of Converged Group’s five-point call-to-action in an earlier post http://www.convergedgroup.net/in-the-end-its-all-about-the-connectivity/ last week.  The reason for this call to action, he says, is to make sure that customers know that they have multiple choices in how they connect with Fibre in network and telephony solutions and Converged has seen multiple occasions where users were locked into poor vendor relationships, paying for connectivity they never received, and unable to utilise the access speeds they thought they had paid for.
