Former PG Bison Executive Levin Morgan has joined Eva-Last as Director: International Sales from 1 March 2022. Morgan will be tasked with building Eva-Last’s presence in existing markets for the group, as well as expanding Eva-Last’s distribution footprint.

Nathan Chapman, co-founder of composite building materials group Eva-Last, says the Covid-19 pandemic found Eva-Last grappling with a good problem. “By the end of 2019 we had grown the foundation of an international business and were meeting demand, but we needed to restructure and bring in candidates with solid track records and experience to drive the next phase of Eva-Last’s international growth.”

Chapman says Morgan’s experience in dealing with high-level negotiations and building sales strategy per territory is a skillset aligned with Eva-Last needs. “Levin has delivered success in a similar function with PG Bison, which follows a very similar sales channel approach, and we are very excited to be able to leverage his deep strategic understanding of taking products to existing and new markets. Growing our full complement of international accounts is a big responsibility and there are very few people who have that kind of background. We have every confidence in Levin to accelerate the growth of our global footprint.”

Morgan says the new role will evolve Eva-Last’s distribution strategy significantly. “There will be a lot of engagement with customers required to both re-establish relationships in a world opening up from lockdown restrictions, as well as stepping up market activities to place an offering that will drive market share growth across multiple territories. I’m excited by the challenge of expanding and breaking into new markets, with a significant focus on the African continental opportunity.”

He says Eva-Last’s clear value proposition and the dream of exponential growth attracted him to the role. “The team is hungry for growth and has genuine global ambitions. I predict huge growth in the next few years.”

Morgan’s previous role was as Executive of sales at PG Bison a subsidiary of JSE-listed KAP Industrial. Holding both a BCom and MBA qualification as well as successfully completing an international executive development programme, he has 15 years of strategic timber panel industry experience, both locally and internationally, and was responsible for driving revenue growth well into billions of Rands for PG Bison.
