"Koena" ("Kwena") in Sotho means "crocodile”, The Crocodile River has its source in the Witwatersrand Mountain range, originating in Constantia Kloof, Roodepoort, Gauteng province
Kwena Square is currently under construction and will be a local, convenience strip mall located in Little Falls, Roodepoort on Hendrik Potgieter Road. This convenience shopping centre is expected to be open to the public from mid-2022.
What can you expect?
Kwena Square has 10008m2 of retail space superbly situated in Little Falls. Kwena Square will provide excellent access for all residents and commuters within Roodepoort, Mogale City, Randburg and surrounds. Developed with the customer in mind with UBER/ Bolt drop-off area and over 250 free parking bays. Besides road transport it is just minutes away from all major Metro Bus routes and enjoys superb proximity to Lanseria International Airport.
Since the mall has broken ground, it has confirmed some exciting new tenancy such as Checkers, Clicks, LUPA Osteria, RocoMamas, Neovision, Golden Rose, Café Estreito with extended tenants of Leroy Merlin and Decathlon open and currently trading. The mall’s architecture will boast an open-air design emulating offering a convenient outdoor shopping experience.
With community being a key focus Kwena Square will be hosting some exciting locally based community campaigns and including local suppliers to implement selected mall projects. Kwena Square is set to be Roodepoort’s service and convenience shopping centre of choice for all your essential retail requirements.
