Boasting the Mr. May spot on Cosmopolitan magazine’s ‘Sexiest SA Men 2009’ calendar, Vincent Ntunja has been chosen as the next brand ambassador for South Africa’s leading footwear brand, BRONX.
Born in Gugulethu, Cape Town, 28-year-old Vincent is a full-time model and TV presenter by profession, whilst studying towards his Master’s Degree in Sports Tourism Management at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT).

His secret to staying incredibly fit is basketball – a sport he has played for the past 12 years. Vincent became a member of the South African Basketball team at the age of 16 and has remained a member ever since.

In fact Vincent’s passion for the game goes way beyond his own personal success. Actively involved in raising funds for an international NGO called ‘Hoops 4 Hope’, Vincent regularly hosts basketball clinics in his community to teach and empower kids with valuable basketball and life skills. A defining moment in his life came in 2006, when a basketball facility was erected in his name in Gugulethu, in recognition of his devotion and the incredible contribution he’s made towards the organisation and his community.

Vincent’s involvement with ‘Hoops 4 Hope’ has taken him around the world, to countries including the USA, Russia, China, Korea and Morocco. And with sport playing such an important role in his life, Vincent has had the pleasure of rubbing shoulders with some of his personal sporting heroes such as legendary Chicago Bulls basketball superstar, Michael Jordan, Springbok rugby hero, Francois Pienaar and Bafana Bafana soccer star, Teko Modise.

“We are thrilled to have Vince on board. He is a talented and inspirational individual with a bright future and we look forward to exciting future synergies,” says Wayne Stanford, brand manager for BRONX.

Vincent’s new role as a BRONX brand ambassador will see him joining the likes of well respected eTV sports anchor, Lance Witten, in wearing this season’s most stylish and sought-after footwear.

“I am really excited to be involved with one of South Africa’s leading shoe brands, and to be part of the BRONX team. I recently visited the BRONX warehouse and caught a glimpse of the winter range for 2010 – the boots and sneakers are looking really hot! I’m looking forward to adding them to my wardrode!!” laughed Ntunja.
