The Rushmere Noach team will be celebrating Easter by donating much needed books and delicious Easter parcels to the Igazi Foundation Paediatric Oncology Ward at the Provincial hospital on Wednesday, the 23rd March at 12pm.  “We at Rushmere have been affected by Cancer (in various forms) in some way or another and so it is a cause very close to our hearts.  Igazi is the only dedicated Hematological Services NGO in the country and have done amazing work to ensure that patients requiring haematological care in the Eastern Cape are able to receive the treatment locally. As a Port Elizabeth law firm, we are proud to have Igazi based on home soil.”

Easter is a time of joy, a celebration of life and love. For these patients it means a little surprise and happiness and excitement amongst their incredibly big challenge - their daily fight against Cancer.   Board member and representative for the Igazi Foundation, Zodwa Dube is delighted with the support and added “This is the year of the teenage patient. Most times we forget the teenage patients, they are not children anymore but they are not adults yet.  It's harder for them with hormones and all, to then have to still deal with a life threatening disease as well.  They appreciate these random acts of kindness.”

In the spirit of Easter, Rushmere Noach will be handing out Easter eggs, marshmallows, bunnies and sweet treats to the patients and staff alike of the Oncology ward as well as a donation of books to the Paediatric Oncology Ward Library.
