Chiropractors who use dry needling can help you with your pain
Chiropractic care is an alternative health field that has been in practice for over a century. It focuses on the healing power of body and its natural ability to heal itself without drugs or surgery.
The Diversified Technique is the most commonly used chiropractic technique which is the implementation of a high velocity, low amplitude thrust in the direction of restricted range of movement of a particular joint in order to restore motion and reduce pain.
Myofascial dry needling is the use of solid filiform needles or 'acupuncture' needles for the treatment of muscular pain, also known as intramuscular stimulation. The needle is inserted into the skin and directly into the myofasial trigger point responsible for the pain. A trigger point is a band of multiple contraction knots which are related to some type of injury or physical trauma.
Myofascial dry needling is done with solid filiform needles, short hollow needles that have a beveled cutting edge on the end. This type of needle is different from hollow needles because solid filiform's are inserted deep into muscle tissue and they come in a variety of shapes, sizes, lengths, and thicknesses.
