Covid-19 Homemade immune boosting remedy

Submitted by: Michael Nkosi

My name is Michael Nkosi from Pretoria, I'm an activist, researcher and Philanthropist.

Reason for this article is to share information and give tips as to how we can flatten the spread of the Covid-19 in our households while we are waiting for local vaccines and the "broad vaccination".

Below I shall focus on areas that the virus attacks in the body and what we can in our households to improve those areas. Our bodies become deficient in minerals, therefore, causing the virus to overpower the immune system.

  1. Fever and cough
  2. Shortness of breath
  3. Fatigue
  4. Headache
  5. Body Aches
  6. Sore throat
  7. Loss of taste
  8. Loss of smell
  9. Nausea
  10. Diarrhoea

I will indicate on each item the deficiency of minerals that can effect our immune systems and what is needed to strengthen that area of the body.

  1. Fever and cough - means that the your system is low on Vitamin C. You can therefore boost this area by eating food that is high on vitamin C
  2. Shortness of breath - means that the system is deficient of the following minerals in the body which is Vitamin B3, B6, Iron, Potassium, Vitamin C, Phosphorus, zinc and folate.
  3. Fatigue - means that there is deficiency in the following minerals, Tryptophan, zinc, magnesium, Vitamin B6 and iron
  4. Headaches - means there is an deficiency in magnesium and riboflavin
  5. Body aches - means a deficiency in calcium and potassium.
  6. Sore throat - means a deficiency in Vitamin C
  7. Loss of taste - means a deficiency in zinc
  8. Loss of smell - means a deficiency in Vitamin B12
  9. Nausea - means a deficiency in calcium, magnesium, phosphorus and Vitamin D
  10. Diarrhoea - means a deficiency in potassium
  11. Blood cloaks, mucus formation, allergic reactions and hyper inflammation all leads to hypoxia low oxygen levels.

Now how can we replace all the above mentioned deficient minerals in the body? I will touch on 4 basic household items that can be used on a daily basis to maintain a healthy and well balanced immune system.

  • Lemon - is high on Vitamin C which will help with the fever and cough.

  • Ginger - contains Vitamin B3, B6, Iron, potassium, Vitamin C, phosphorus, zinc and folate which has elements that can help with fighting the Fatigue, Body aches, sore throat, Nausea, Diarrhea, loss of taste.

  • Turmeric - The causes an allergic reaction, excessive mucus production and hyper inflammation so we need to take an anti-inflammation agent which is turmeric that also helps as a blood thinner.

  • Garlic - this is a very good blood thinner as well It is also a very good source of manganese, selenium and vitamin C. In addition, garlic is a good source of other minerals, including phosphorous, calcium, potassium, iron and copper.

The combination of Ginger, Lemon, turmeric and garlic is very of great power and can play a major role in maintaining a well balanced immune system. Combine all four elements in a pot, boil for at least 20 min and drink a quarter of a glass every day add a teaspoon of each together with 2 litres of water and keep in the fridge. We can also regularly drink warm water with lemon during the day to keep the system strong against viruses since we are already in winter.

We can also search for foods that are filled minerals that are much needed by the body for example foods that are high in Vitamin C are lemons, oranges, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, papayas, strawberries, cauliflower, red, green and yellow pepper, sweet potatoes and tomatoes. I had recently embarked on a fundraising campaign to raise funds to supply masks to those in need, please see link below for any donations.

Fellow South Africans let all take efforts to fight this virus and let's remember to stay home, wash our hands, wear masks and take good care of our immune systems.

May God bless South Africa and rest of the Global community.
