Cape Town Like You've Never Seen it Before

A fleet of branded Quantum's sponsored by First Car Rental will be whisking 15 lucky DStv Subscriber Challenge winners and media on an awesome cultural tour of Cape Town from Thursday to Sunday 24-27 May 2012. These 15 lucky DStv subscribers will get a unique chance to explore various events and places this vibrant and colourful city as to offer whilst staying at the luxurious Protea Fire and Ice Hotel.

Expect to see the 5 Purple-People Wagons wherever you go as Thursday night kicks off with a connoisseur food and wine pairing experience in Nederburg's historic manor house. Co-hosted by Cape Wine Master and CEO of the Cape Wine Academy, Marilyn Cooper and Nederburg's celebrated cellarmaster, Razvan Macici, DSTv subscriber winners will enjoy a meal prepared by the talents of Chef Anja Arnold, whose inspiration derives from the rich heritage of the 18th Century Manor House built by Nederburg's founder in 1791.

Friday morning begins with a trip up Table Mountain followed by a tour of Alto Wine Estate, South Africa's oldest red wine estate, where guests will get to bottle and label their own wines under the guidance of Alto Winemaker, Schalk van der Westhuizen.

To round off the day, guests will head to Bay Harbour Market in Hout Bay for Friday Nite LIVE! Bay Harbour Market is undoubtedly the Cape's most vibrant market with over 100 traders showcasing their creative talents with a wide range of exquisite food, clothes, art and crafts and is set against the backdrop of live music on the Brampton Sound Stage enveloped by a delightful fireplace that completes the experience.

On Saturday morning, the fifteen lucky DStv subscribers will start their day at the beautiful M'hudi Wine Estate where they'll brunch with stimulating and inspirational owners, the Rangaka family. This will be followed by a trip to Gugulethu, where subscriber winners and sponsor partners will plant trees at the Tembaletu LSEN School for learners with physical disabilities. That evening winner's will be dressed to the nines to sip and taste over 300 of the Cape's finest wines at the glamorous TOPS Gugulethu Wine Festival.

Sunday morning it's off to brunch at the legendary Mzoli's Place for an authentic township experience and Mzoli's famous chop before making their way to the airport and back to reality.
