Hansgrohe wins the proverbial gold

In the Real Estate Development Awards 2018 

In an evening that will be remembered for some time to come, Hansgrohe was awarded with the ‘Sustainable Product of the Year for Africa’ award at the 2nd edition of the Real Estate Development Awards in Ghana. The evening was hosted by GBB Venture in the Kempinski Hotel in Accra, and Hansgrohe was fortunate to find themselves in the winner’s circle in a fundamentally important category.  

GBB Venture honours the best 

GBB Venture prides itself on helping developers raise investments while connecting developers, architects and contractors with potential solution providers across the world. During the RED event, GBB Venture recognised the important and exceptional achievements of individuals and organisations around the world for their contributions to a better world.  

A great accolade

Winners were picked based on a nominations process done by buyers and weighed against the number of projects completed. Sustainability in Africa was the lens through which the nominees were seen. Laurinda Marsh, Hansgrohe Project Sales Manager for Sub-Saharan Africa, commented, “One of the core pillars of Hansgrohe is residential and hospitality business. We specialize in offering consumers the best experience with water, and in Africa we are constantly reminded how valuable that resource is. Hansgrohe supplies most projects in Africa with EcoSmart solutions to save water and energy, as well as ensure return on investment. We are honoured to be recognized for the sustainability we offer the Africa market.” 

A proud moment

The Hansgrohe team felt both pride and humility in the wake of their award. David Cooper, managing director for Hansgrohe South Africa said, “To best service our customers and consumers on the continent, we aim to leverage being part of a global company and the design excellence that brings the right products to satisfy the needs of local markets. Being recognised for quality and sustainability is a validation of Hansgrohe’s efforts to serve African markets well.” 

To be recognised and named amongst winners like Nane Kwame Bediako, Chairman of the Kwaleyz Group (Visionary Developer of the Year), Landmark Africa (Lifetime Achievement Award: Real Estate Growth in West Africa), Devtraco (Residential Developer of the Year) and LED Linear (Innovative Product of the Year) was especially an honour for the Hansgrohe team. 

This does not mean resting on laurels for the Hansgrohe machine though. This award will only fuel the company in their bid for a more sustainable, eco-friendly future for the globe.
