From 1 April 2009, The Frontier Beverage Company will start supplying the SAP campus in Woodmead with its hot beverage requirements.

Started in 2002, the Frontier Beverage Company offers coffee machines for homes and coffee vending machines for offices, and has gone on to acquire the accounts of well known corporates like Netcare, Barlows, GlaxoSmithkline, Dimension Data and another 390 clients. In larger corporates, Frontier supplies all ingredients, coffee machines and staff and operates the contract on an outsourced basis. "This is a real vote of confidence in our abilities to deliver great coffee while saving on costs" says MD Steve Giddings. "SAP are effectively outsourcing their entire hot beverage service to us, and knowing how important coffee is to staff satisfaction and performance, we are ready to add value to SAP."

Headquartered in Centurion with distribution in Gauteng, Cape Town, Durban, Port Elizabeth and Bloemfontein, the company employs 35 staff. In 2007, Frontier formed a joint venture with Java Lava Beverage Manufacturing and now has access to a local roaster of fine coffee and manufacturing and packing of teas, decadent hot chocolate, milk powders and sugar. Java Lava supplies well known coffee franchises and hotels.
