PR agency experiences growth amidst economic crisis

Public Relations agency PURE Communications has announced the launch of its new look website, www.purecomm.co.za. Inspired by the innovative imagery of the iPhone, the website is now an exciting reflection of the genuinely unique, results-driven marketing-communications agency PURE Communications has become.
The website launch coincides with the agency’s second anniversary and relocation to expanded premises along Sandton Drive.

“The new website and premises are an expression of the energy and vibrancy we’re experiencing as an agency these days,” CEO Gregory Serandos states. “We’d like to take this opportunity to share the credit for this enthusiasm with our clients as well, who have amazed us by embracing the challenge of the recession and turn it into an opportunity to refocus and intensify their communications.” Privately held PURE Communications’ revenues are up 35% so far in 2009.

PURE Communications has enjoyed tremendous growth during the last two years, said PURE Communications Director Tumi Ndaba. He maintains that neither the launch of the new site nor the move into bigger offices could be put off any longer. “During its first year, PURE established itself as one of the few agencies that really understood the role of online marketing and developments like Web 2.0. It has now grown into a full service marketing communications agency, with credentials in internal communications, branding, design and production as well.”

It’s these extensive capabilities that are reflected in the new look PURE website. “We chose the iPhone imagery for several reasons, not just because the icon grid is an extremely user-friendly way of navigating, but also because it represents an approach that echoes our own. For one thing, many clients have described our campaigns as ‘forward thinking’, as is the iPhone culture. We are also ‘open’ as an agency to the inputs and added value that other agencies or consultants can bring to a project. This is similar to the unusual approach taken by Apple in ‘opening up’ the iPhone’s software and allowing third parties to create their own applications for customers.”

PURE is poised to set off on another successful year of growth, which Serandos and Ndaba attribute to an exclusive value proposition based on three unique factors: PURE’s original mix of international and local experience, its clear focus on B2B communication and its ‘Ideas Lab’, the creative engine where it all comes together.

‘The economy doesn’t need to grow in order for us to grow – we just need to continue to exceed customer expectations and continue to offer our clients the extra value they need while their budgets are under pressure, Serandos concludes.’
