[Pressportal.co.za] The Parlotones have become an overnight success (well, after eight years of hard work and dedication at least). The band, which formed in 1998, first garnered public recognition with the release of their first full-length studio album Radiocontrolledrobot. The SAMA award-winning album was released at the end of July 2005 and was received very well by both their fans and the media. The band’s first single ‘Here Comes The Man’ flew up the charts and was promptly followed up with their number one smash hit ‘Colourful’. The band made huge waves when they agreed to close the Coca Cola Massive Mix festival, performing after Metalica. Insane, maybe, but it got people’s attention! |
