Staff Promotions At Vodaworld Events

[Pressportal.co.za] Penny Gilchrist has recently been promoted to General Manager at Vodaworld Events. Previously Penny was the Banqueting Manager for four years at the same venue. Penny brings with her 6 years experience in the industry and her motto for 2007 is, “it is not about what you achieve in life, it is what you overcome”. Penny has taken the place of Trevor Latimer, who has left the company. She is being ably assisted by Bernard Moyo, who is the Assistant General Manager. Bernard started at Vodaworld Events as a waiter in 1998 and has been promoted over the years until his current position. He worked for 2 other function venues previously in the area for many years, so is well suited to the post. Lynne Schweitzer has also been promoted to Banqueting Manager in the place of Penny. Lynne worked as events co-ordinator, so this is a natural advancement for her and we are very pleased to see her in this position. Lynne has been in the banqueting and convention industry for nearly 15 years so brings with her a wealth of experience and knowledge. We wish all three staff success in their new promotions.
